Who we are

Vibrissae Cafe LLC runs the Vibrissae cat cafes in Al Safa, Mirdif and Dubai Creek Harbour, in Dubai, UAE. We decide how your details are used.

What we collect

• When you book a visit: your name, mobile number and email, whether it is your first visit, and the branch, date, time and number of guests.
• When you apply to adopt: the answers you give in our adoption form, including your date of birth, home address and home situation.
• When you contact us: what you write to us and how to reach you.
• When you browse: essential cookies that keep the site working and remember your language. Only if you agree, Google Analytics cookies that show us how the site is used.

We never take payment details online. You pay at the cafe.

Why we use it

• To confirm, change or cancel your booking, and to plan the cats' day around visitors.
• To contact you about your visit.
• To review adoption applications and find the right home for each cat.
• To send past guests occasional offers and news. You can stop these at any time.
• To understand how the website is used, only if you agree to analytics cookies.
• To meet our legal obligations in the UAE.

Who sees it

Our team at the three branches, and the services that help us run bookings and this website:

• Odoo, our booking and website software, running on our own server with Amazon Web Services in Mumbai, India.
• Google, for the adoption form and, with your consent, website analytics.
• Our email provider, to send booking confirmations.

We do not sell your details. Because our server is in India and Google may process data in other countries, your details may be stored outside the UAE. We only use services that commit to keeping them secure.

How long we keep it

• Bookings: 2 years after your visit.
• Adoption applications: 2 years.
• Analytics: up to 14 months, in Google Analytics.

After that we delete your details or keep them only in a form that no longer identifies you.

Your choices and rights

Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law you can ask us to show you the details we hold, correct them, delete them, limit how we use them, stop using them for offers, or send you a copy.

• To make a request: email meow@vibrissaecafe.com. We reply within 30 days.
• To stop offers and news: reply STOP to any message from us, or email us.
• To change cookie choices: clear this site's cookies in your browser and choose again.

Children

Bookings are made by adults. Apart from the number of children in a booking, we do not knowingly collect details about anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change how we use your details, we update this page and the date at the top.
